Marina Leonidovna Davydova, Doctor of Juridical Science, Volgograd State University

In 1998 M.L. Davydova graduated from the law department of Volgograd State University with an honours degree. On 15 January 2002 in Saratov State Academy of Law she successfully defended the dissertation for the degree of candidate of juridical science devoted to Regulatory Prescriptions in the Russian Legislation, the research adviser – Doctor of Juridical Science, Professor N.N. Voplenko. In April 2004 she was given an academic degree of docent. On 7 October 2010 she successfully defended the doctoral dissertation with the following subject: “Theoretic and Methodological Problems Concerning the Concept and Structure of Juridical Technique”. On 17 June 2008 she was awarded with an additional qualification diploma with the degree of a higher school lecturer. From 23 November 2009 to 19 March 2010 M.L. Davydova completed a short-term course “Proficiency in Teaching Additional Professional Education Courses” of the State Educational Institution of Additional Professional Education at Volgograd State University. On 26-28 May 2010 she participated in the programme of the international school of young academic lawyers “Heritage of Legal Science in a Modern Society” in the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the government of the Russian Federation. On 1 July 2010 M.L. Davydova was appointed an acting head of the Chair of Constitutional and Municipal Law. Since 1 September 2011 she heads this Chair. On 9-10 September 2011 she moderated the section “Normative Systems in Law” within the framework of the International Symposium “Norms and Normative Systems in Philosophy, Law, and Informatics”, which took place in St. Petersburg. The symposium was devoted to the 40th anniversary of publishing the book «Normative Systems» by Carlos E. Alchourrón and Eugenio V. Bulygin, which has become classics of modern normative logics in law, to the 80th anniversary of E.V. Bulygin, and to presentation of the first Russian translation of “Normative Systems”. On 28 October 2011 M.L. Davydova received a short-term training in “Modernisation of the Civil Law in Modern World Economy” within the framework of the International Scientific Workshop. From 11 March 2011 to 13 February 2012 she took the course “Preparation for the TOEFL (ITP)” in the Federal State Budget Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education Volgograd State University. In May 2012, June 2013 she had two-week traineeships in the Law Library of the United States Congress (Washington D.C.).
