Valeriy Sergeevich Rybalkin, Doctor of Philology, Professor, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

V.S. Rybalkin is an expert in Arabic linguistic studies, lexicology and lexicography, Arabic archaeography, Koran exegetics, the Arabic literature and other fields. He is the author of the first academic translation of Koran into the Ukrainian language, the first part of the text was published in 2003 in Kiev; he translated from the original into the Ukrainian language several fairy tales from “A Thousand and One Night”. His translation was published in 2011 in Ternopol Publishing House “Navchalna kniga — Bogdan”. V.S. Rybalkin is the author of articles in the Brill Encyclopedia of Arabic Language and Linguistics. He is an Honorary Doctor of many universities of the USA, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan and others countries.
